About - Giuseppe D'Elia

I started my career in 1993, as a salesman, and soon my company decided to offer me the responsability to train and support junior salesmen.
In 1996 I joined Telecom Italia Mobile. My first step into the TLC market, where in the next 7 years I had a variety of roles in sales and sales management.
After a couple of experiences in Multinational Companies, where I was in charge of specific one-year projects, I decided that my job could be not only an opportunity for a professional and economical satisfaction at a personal level, but also a way to fulfill higher needs and goals. Therefore, the choice to express and improve my professional experience into the Renewable Energies market.


Interests
My interests include reading, running, travelling, camping, playing music, cooking and cooksurfing.

Location
I currently live between Paris (France) and Padova (Italy).

Sales and Marketing Director

- I am responsible for EMEA and LATAM sales targets, overseeing projects and sales, defining new local marketing&sales strategies, negotiating Distribution Contracts in emerging Markets;

- I coordinate Sales Professionals and Agents, and negotiate directly with Key Customers (EPC, Funds, Developers);

- Latest success: Oct 2015, 9.4 MWp (5 Ml€ deal) for a Scandinavian Fund

 

UPSOLAR GLOBAL CO, LTD. - (2011 - 2014)

 Project Development and Asset Manager Europe (7/2014-1/2015 c/o Paris Offices - FRANCE)

 - Project Development: in cooperation with our EU network of Developers and EPCs, origination of PV projects in EU countries (tech DD, business plans, supervision of construction and financing/post financing operations); analysis of possible partnerships with private investors and Funds;

 - Asset Management: coordinate technical and financial management of Upsolar's Asset of 15 MWp of PV projects across Europe (Italy, France, Romania, Belgium, Croatia, Grece);

Country Manager Italy (2011-06/2014 c/o Treviso Offices - ITALY)

Responsabilities:

- I ensure the Italian branch operations align with the organization's mission, strategic objectives and policies.

- Overseeing projects and sales, defining new local sales strategies, liaising with management at the HQ in Paris and Shanghai and providing reports on activities, I am responsible for sales targets and financial KPI.

- I am in charge of all relationships with Italian Regulamentation Authorities (GSE) about Product Certifications and product recycling requirements (PVCycle Italy).

- In 2012 I developed an innovative Distribution Business Model for B2B and B2C, and kickstarted the Project Development activities in Europe (now and indipendent Dep. with HQ in Paris)
